Thank you

To any contacts, suppliers, or clients that we have spoken to or had contact with in the last year or so, thank you, thank you, thank you. Thank you for the chats, the coffees, and the opportunity to do business.  Conversations once taken for granted as part of daily life have more significance than doing business. It’s a return to a once-maligned normality.

Every day’s a school day…

I am always learning from our clients and this year, in particular, has been an absolute privilege to see the energy, strength, and tenacity with which our clients have approached their businesses. We have enjoyed face-to-face meetings again in our great new boardroom.

Challenges

This wouldn’t be a proper and fair round-up if we did not talk about the challenges we have faced this year. My personal challenge has been to find ways to re-set my thinking and self-talk {quickly} to keep my focus.  Asking for help is not my biggest strength, but asking my team for more regular shared strategy sessions has helped me enormously. I’ve always reported strategy to the Board, but this year, I’ve really felt the benefit it’s given me to share. I’ve always considered myself positive and forward-thinking, but there is no doubt this year I’ve had to dig a little deeper. Moving to our new office in Charminster has massively helped to re-energise.
