A fusion of legal knowledge and practical compliance

As an unusual niche provider which offers both data protection compliance services and data protection legal advice, we delineate our lawyer services, DPO services and compliance services (see table below). There are reasons why we do it like this, which is another blog for another day.

We are all lawyers, but the data protection capacity we act in for different clients in relation to data protection varies, whether providing data protection lawyer services, outsourced DPO services or compliance services.

We know that the line is not clear-cut and that other than the contract side, some compliance specialists probably provide services similar to our data protection lawyer services. However, there are very few who can do everything. This fusion of legal and compliance cuts across strategic, operational, risk management and legal data protection boundaries, creating a unique service.

Depending on our service, clients either get a very pragmatic lawyer, DPO or supremely knowledgeable compliance support. Whichever way you look at it, the decisions and advice we provide are strong, quick and risk-based. Ultimately, time and cost are saved. For example, within 30 minutes of receiving details of a data protection breach, we can quantify breaches and see whether they are notifiable within the legal 72-hour period (see Thank god I got my breaches sorted).
